Michael B Jordan’s upcoming film ‘Just Mercy’ looks like a must watch. Starring Michael B Jordan, Brie Larson and Jamie Foxx in the lead roles its looks like this inspirational film will surely be one of the many film nominated for the Oscars.
The biopic is based on the life of Lawyer and author Brian Stevenson and the film will be showing us how the lawyer had fought for death row inmates. Jordan who was last seen in Creed 2 and Black Panther will be playing the role of Brian Stevenson who wants to practice law for the right reasons being a Harvard graduate he has many high salary job offers but he chooses a career which could serve people.
Just Mercy will be centered on a formative case for Stevenson, one that helped birth the EJI. In 1989, Stevenson defended Walter McMillian then 47-year-old black tree cutter who the year before had been falsely accused and swiftly sentenced to death for the murder of an 18-year-old white woman in Monroeville, Alabama, the hometown of Harper Lee.
Jamie Foxx will be playing the role of the prisoner who inspires Michael B Jordan to take up the case of the people who are on death trial. Brie Larson will be joining Michael B Jordan’s in for Equal Justice. The film is set in Alabama in the 1980’s.
Just Mercy has been directed by Destin Daniel Cretton who has also helmed Brie Larson starrer The Glass Castle and Short Term 12 oh and yes Destin will also be directing the upcoming Marvel film ‘Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings. ‘
Just Mercy will be hitting the theatres on January 10 2020.
