Veteran actor Rita Bhaduri passed away on Tuesday 17th July, 2018 due to kidney ailment. Many people sent warm messages to her family upon the passing away of Rita Bhaduri. Her friend and classmate from Film and television institute of India, actor Zarina Wahab referred to her as “one of the most spirited and kind people”.

She said to Indianexpress in an interview Zarina Wahab said “We were together in the 1973 batch of FTII and stayed in touch all these years. An accomplished actor, Rita maintained a childlike enthusiasm for work after all these decades in the industry.”

Rita Bhaduri was a veteran actor who was known for her roles in some blockbuster hits such as Julie, Ghar ho to aisa, Hero no.1. Rita Bhaduri was in hospital for the last few days where she was fighting for her life and left this world on Tuesday 17th July, 2018 aged 62, many actors and big names had attented her funeral on Tuesday afternoon.

The news of Rita Bhaduri’s death broke down through actor Shishir Sharma on social media and many people from the Bollywood film industry posted tributes for the veteran actor.

Anil Kapoor who had starred with Rita Bhaduri in films tweeted on his official twitter handle “Rita Bhaduri was one of the finest actresses that #FTII gave us. I had the honour of working with her in Ghar Ho to Aisa, Beta & Viraasat & I’m really saddened to hear about her passing…She will be dearly missed by her friends, family & fans.”

Anupam Kher who also starred along the actor tweeted “Rita Bhaduri was affectionate, helpful, jovial, bright and full of life. It is sad and unfortunate that we sum up a person only when he or she is gone. I wish we met more often.”

The passing away of veteran actor Rita Bhaduri is also a blow to the Bollywood film industry as they lost one more gem. May her soul rest in peace.
