Ahad Raza Mir adds another feather to his cap as he won the 22nd annual Betty Mitchell Awards for Outstanding Performance in Canadian theatre play Hamlet in the category of outstanding performance by an actor in a drama. The announcement was made by the Canada-based Vertigo Theatre on their official Twitter page.

“Congratulations to @ahadrazamir for his Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Drama award! We were thrilled with this production of HAMLET: A GHOST STORY,” read the post, along with a picture of Ahad from the play.

He took to Instagram to share the news with his followers.

In a short span of time Ahad Raza Mir has established himself as one of the top acting talents of Pakistan. Mir, 24, became the first brown actor to be cast in the coveted role of Hamlet. However, Hamlet isn’t the only play he’s done; Mir has also performed in The Tempest, Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth.

On the personal front Ahad recently got engaged to fellow superstar Sajal Aly.
