Akshay Kumar starrer Gold has becaome the first ever Bollywood movie to release in Saudi Arabia. Akshay Kumar recently took this news to his personal twitter account where he posted “The story of India’s first Gold medal victory for the first time in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. . After Padman early this year, Akshay Kumar’s film Gold is a sports drama. The Reema Kagti directorial is a period film set in the year 1946 and before that when British had occupied India, a series of true events of India winning its first hockey gold medal as a free nation in the 1948 Summer Olympics.

Chad Gayi Hai

The film which is set in 1946, gold is a movie based upon a hockey coach who is struggling to convince his team as well as the system that he can get the National team a gold medal in the Olympic games.

The film also stars Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet and Sunny Kaushal and some other characters too. Directed by Reema Kagti who has also written stories like Dil Dhadakne do, Talaash, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Gold has been financed by Farhan Akhter and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment.
