After working together in a blockbuster hit, Pink, the Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan will once again share the screen with newbie Taapsee Pannu in Sujoy Ghosh’s crime thriller, tentatively titled as Badla.
A source informed a leading daily, ”The film produced by Sunir Kheterpal is tentatively titled Badla. A crime thriller, it is expected to roll in mid- June. Mr Bachchan has liked the script but is yet to sign on the dotted line but Taapsee has already committed to the project. The makers have already started work on the prep.”
According to the sources, Taapsee Pannu has deeply impressed Big B in her power-packed performance in Pink. On the other hand, the youngster also considered it as a big privilege to work with Bollywood biggest super star once again.
The actress in her earlier interview talked about her experience working with Big B.
‘It was an honour to work with him,. After all, it’s just my third Hindi film. But I wasn’t intimated at all. I was excited, yes. I am not crazy about any movie star. Mr. Bachchan is an amazing and brilliant actor; everyone knows that. Yes, there was some pressure of performing well. I knew I have to be my best. I had to make sure I don’t stand out like a sore thumb in the frame with him and it may backfire. So I just decided not to think that I am acting opposite Amitabh Bachchan and just do my job. After that it was okay.”
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will be next seen in 102 Not Out with Rishi Kapoor. The film is slated to release on May 4, 2018.
Taapsee Pannu, on the other hand, is also currently busy in shooting for Manmarziyaan with Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal.
Sujoy Ghosh had worked with Mr. Bachchan in 2009 in a fantasy-adventure, Aladin. He had also produced Ribhu Dasgupta’s 2016 thriller Te3n with Big B, Vidya Balan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles.
