Aquaman 2 writer David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick has teased that the sequel to the film will be featuring a storyline inspired by the Black Manta.

David Leslie-McGoldrick had made the news public in a Q&A session on twitter. The film will be starring Jason Momoa in the lead roles as we will be seeing him as the king of Atlantic however the story of the film is still unclear.

“We’re not taking any one particular comic book story and adapting it, but if you want to know the vibe we’re going for, pick up pretty much any Silver Age story featuring Black Manta,” McGoldrick said.

Before this James Wan had also revealed that they will be also working on a spinoff based on the trench and it will be DC’s first horror superhero film.

Yahya-Abdul Mateen played the role of Black Manta in the first part, Amber Heard as Mera, Nicole Kidman played the role of Queen of Atlanta and William Dafoe played the role of Nuidis Vulko.

Aquaman became a hit at the box office within audiences and it got some great reviews from the critics, the film had a 70% score on Rotten tomatoes with an overall review that read out “Aquaman swims with its entertainingly ludicrous tide, offering up CGI superhero spectacle that delivers energetic action with an emphasis on good old-fashioned fun.”
