The much-awaited trailer of Aamina Sheikh and Sanam Saeed starrer, Cake, has finally been revealed in a studded event last night in Karachi – and it has all the ingredients to grab viewers’ attention in the first glimpse.

The two and half minute long trailer mostly emphasize on the complex relationship of two estranged sisters, Zareen (Aamina Sheikh) and Zara (Sanam Saeed). It started off Zareen who lives with her parents in Pakistan whereas her younger sister, Zara, has left them and moved to abroad – the reason is some past incident that has added bitterness to their relationship.

Well, apparently the family looks fine with super-cool parents who still behave like teenage lovers but a slight closer look at them will reveal all the flaws in their relationship.

Zara has to return home when heard about father’s illness but she is not ready to forgive her elder sister for some mistake made in the past. On the hand, Zareen considered her younger sister the reason for all resentment in the family

The trailer also features a serious argument between the two sisters which ends up in a cat-fight – and it’s interesting to witness the two decent girls physically abusing each other.

Apart from the sisters’ conflict, the trailer also gives us a quick glimpse of male protagonists of the film – Adnan Malik, Faris Khalid and Meekal Zulfiqar (cameo appearance) – how these three fit in this story is yet to find out.

Directed and penned by Asim Abbasi, the film is slated to release on March 30th.
