Syra Shehroz debut Pakistani film, Chalay Thay Saath is all set to screen in theatres in Hong Kong tomorrow.

The film also marked the debut of Canadian-Chinese actor Kent Leung in Pakistan. The actor in an exclusive video message urged his fans to go watch the film in theatres in Hong Kong.

“I had a great experience working on Chalay Thay Saath. Not only did I meet some great and talented people but I also got to see a part of the world I never planned on seeing. And with that in mind, the people and scenery of Pakistan really blew me away. It’s unfortunate the rest of the world only gets a glimpse of Pakistan and not in the way I did. Hopefully, with the help of this film, people will get to see the beauty that I got to see first hand,” Kent had said in an earlier interview with a leading magazine.

Directed by Umer Adil and produced by his wife Beenish, the movie has been penned down by a novice writer from advertising field, Atiya Zaidi. It also stars Osama Tahir, Faris Khalid, Zhaley Sarhadi, Behroze Sabzwari and Mansha Pasha in supporting roles.

The film is based around the character of Resham, a doctor who is on a journey to discover her past and future alongside her friends. The film depicts a cross-border love story between a Chinese man and Resham, which ends in their marriage

The film is focused the Hunza Culture and it was shot in the Northern Areas of Pakistan in the region of Gilgit-Baltistan. It took the film crew over 40 days to complete the film shoot in the Hunza region.

Released on April 21, 2017 in Pakistan, the film received mixed reviews on box office.
