Deedan depicts the right dynamics of tribal areas in Pakistan!
Over the past few years, the media has emerged as an extremely powerful force in Pakistan. With the evolution of freedom of media and the revival of cinema, it seems as if Pakistan has upped their game in this particular industry.
Upcoming drama serial Deedan portrays Pakistan from a realistic point of view.
The drama is set in Hunza, nestled between the mountains and meadows; the backdrop is picturesque and shows that Pakistan has so much unexplored beauty.
Deedan brings to life the tale of typical Pakistani tribal family and highlights their real traditions.
This is a refreshing change, especially after reading about bombs, bullets and people dying in the northern areas. Deedan is surely a must watch for every Pakistani.
Speaking to Celebdhaba, Amin Iqbal (Director of Deedan) gave us exclusive details about his ambitious project.
First things first. Deedan is unique because of its dedicated team and their passion towards the project. It’s only because of their efforts that we have managed to come up with what we had envisioned.
The producers now a day’s don’t take such risk by giving complete liberty to the directors and trust their vision to create a product which depicts competitiveness, at the same time compete with the standards of international markets.View this post on Instagram

In the present era, the youth of our country is more inclined towards Netflix and Amazon series, therefore as a director I had to make sure that I bring back my audiences to watch Pakistani content.
Deedan is set in a different culture. We have tweaked the plot with fiction as well. The casting is very unique and interesting. It’s a huge combo of actors i.e. Sanam Saeed, Mohib Mirza, Laila Zuberi, Huma Nawab, Rashid Naz, Sarfaraz Ahsraf, Ajab Gul, Tipu Sharif, Hassan Noman, Tariq Jamal and debutante Minsa.
Mohib Mirza is back on TV after a long hiatus of four and a half years; it was important for Mohib, that his comeback doesn’t go unnoticed and leaves a lasting impression on the audiences. He was very passionate and excited, indeed he prepared for the role to a large extent i.e. losing weight, changing his body structure and dialect etc.
Sanam and Mohib play Resham and Zardaab. I can’t reveal much about their characters. I am thankful to them for trusting my vision and coming on board, as both the actors portray an intense dramatic role for the first time.View this post on Instagram

We were shooting at such locations which were challenging, the erratic weather, disconnectivity from the rest of the world, weather conditions, incidents, walking up the mountains where the oxygen level decreases.
At times we couldn’t shoot the estimated scenes as per the schedule. I hope we get the due response of our sheer hard work.
The promotional campaigns and teasers are already on air. We didn’t make the drama just to fulfill the formality. It’s high time one should get rid of the stereotype mold of dramas and typical scripts to facilitate the audience with a breath of fresh air.
Deedan will stand out due to its unique concept and inspire many others in the same genre to take the plunge and deliver stupendous content that will pave ways of success.
Deedan is an A-plus production.
