The talented Emily Blunt will soon return to the big screen as Mary Poppins in Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns. The first trailer for the movie released recently and everything about it looks enchanting and satisfying.

The film is directed by Rob Marshall and the script is written by David Magee. Mary Poppins Returns is a sequel to the 1964 film Mary Poppins. The new installment of the Marry Poppins stars Emily Blunt in the lead role. Lin Manuel Miranda, Meryl Streep, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer, Pixie Davies, Joel Dawson, Nathanael Saleh, Julie Walters, Colin Firth, and Angela Lansbury also star in the upcoming Disney project.

The sequel will show us former nanny of Jane and Michael Banks returning to them after a family mishap. The new film is set 25 years after the original movie, so the Banks family and children are now all grown up, with families of their own.

The opening shot of the trailer sees a single kite flying and very soon a child and an adult are seen pulling the kite and then they discover a figure hidden in the dark holding the other end of the kite and descending from the sky as she does so. It is Mary Poppins of course, complete with a hat and all. The Banks children get excited about how good it’s to see Mary Poppins again and one cannot help but agree with them.

The last part shows us Emily Blunt’s, Mary Poppins look in the mirror and say about how she also feels great about meeting the Banks children. There’s also magical twist in the video, Mary Poppins reflection stays in the mirror as she moves on in the last scene of the teaser. Well this is all we know about the film the film will be releasing on 25 December 2018 on Christmas. Until then you guys have to wait.
