Gal Gadot who will be playing the role of Wonder Woman has revealed that her film Wonder Woman 1984 will be hitting the big screens on 14th August instead of its release on June 5.
Gal Gadot posted the news on her official Insatgram handle where she wrote “In these dark and scary times, I am looking forward to a brighter future ahead. Where we can share the power of cinema together again. Excited to redate our WW84 film to August 14, 2020. I hope everyone is safe. Sending my love to you all.”
Wonder Woman 1984 will be taking Princess Diana back to the 1980’s where she will be fighting her arch nemesis Cheetah who is played by Kristen Wiig. Chris Pine returns as Steve Trevor, The film is being produced by Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Patty Jenkins, Stephen Jones and Gal Gadot, Rebecca Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and Walter Hamada are the executive producers. Production of the film has taken place in Washington, D.C., Alexandria, Virginia, and in the UK, Spain and the Canary Islands.
During shooting of the film Gal Gadot had received some spine injuries and the actress has a tough time while shooting for the sequel. The film was first scheduled to release in 2019 however due to some changes in plan it was pushed back to a June 5,2020 release. Once again the release of the film has been pushed back to August due to the Coronavirus outbreak which has grasped the whole world.
Wonder Woman 1984 will be hitting the theatres on 14th August 2020.
