Halle Bailey the teenage actor who has been chosen to play the role of Disney Little Mermaid in Disney’s Little Mermaid is going through a lot of criticism about her casting as the Little mermaid however the actor recently spoke to variety and has cleared that she does not care about all the negativity spread around her and she is keen on her role as the Little Meramid.
She said “I feel like I’m dreaming and I’m just grateful and I don’t pay attention to the negativity, I just feel like this role was something bigger than me, and greater. It’s going to be beautiful. I’m just so excited to be a part of it.”
The live action film will be directed Rob Marshall and talking about Halle Bailey in a recent interview he said “After an extensive search, it was abundantly clear that Halle possesses that rare combination of spirit, heart, youth, innocence, and substance plus a glorious singing voice all intrinsic qualities necessary to play this iconic role.”
This film will be marking Halle Bailey’s debut on the big screens and she’s making her debut as a Disney Princess, the singer who is yet to turn into an actor shared her excitement through twitter where she wrote “Dream Come True.”
The live action film of the Little Mermaid will be focusing on remaking it from the original 1989 Little Mermaid film and it is has also been reported that the film will also be having some original songs from the 1989 version and the film is all set to go into production in the year 2020.
