Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix became the first R-rated film to reach 1 billion dollars. And Joaquin Phoenix has also emerged as one of the top contenders to win the Oscar awards this time however that’s not it recently the actor and the director Todd Philips said that the film will have no plans for a sequel however it has been reported by Hollywood Reporter that director Todd Philips is in talks to reprise his role as the Director for a Joker Sequel.
It is also being said that Todd Philips will be getting a whopping of 100 million dollars once the film fully settles down from the theatres and yes let’s not forget Todd Philip gave us some hints from the Bruce Wayne origins story when Arthur’s mother decides to hand over a letter to him telling him he and Batman are Half Brothers well we will all find out what Matt Reeve’s throws out his film of the Batman origins which will be starring Robert Pattinson.
Todd Philips had also teased about a sequel saying “It all on Joaquin, anything Joaquin wants to do.” But recently when the filmmaker spoke to IGN regarding his tease he stated “We have no plans for a sequel. The quote was, ‘I will do anything Joaquin wants to do.’ And I would. But the movie’s not set up to (have) a sequel. We always pitched it as one movie, and that’s it.”
It is still unknown if a sequel will happen or not but who haven’t watched the film please enjoy the film first.
