the multi-platinum South Asian band, JoSH, has made another full blast Bhangra performance in Lahore in front of a large energetic crowd. On weekend, the Indo-Pakistan music duo rocked the night away at the Lahore Fort (Shahi Qila) at the kick-off of HBL PSL celebrations.
Singing JoSH Nal, Mahi Ve, Aye Mausam and Nasha Pyar Da amongst other hits in their signature style, Rup Magon and Qurram Hussain get the corporate executives and other fans dancing throughout the show.
“We have performed in more than 150 cities of the world. But trust me this show is one of the most memorable shows for us, not only due to the historical venue but also due to the amazing crowd, said Qurram while sharing with media his views about the concert.
Qurram aka Q believed that the most satisfying performance is a combination of a great venue, great sound and a highly charged crowd. “We got all the three at this concert. I’ll remember the great experience I felt on stage. I kept throwing in more songs in our songs because I was having so much fun,” he said.
While, the concert was more of an emotive experience for Rup Magon, as he was recently starred in The Black Prince, a historical film on life of Duleep Singh, the last Maharajah of the Sikh Empire and youngest son Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s youngest son.
Talking to media, Rup said
“as always, performing in Lahore is special, but this concert was on another level. We were connected to the crowd from our very first song. The nostalgic vibes at Shahi Killa was nerve wrecking. To think that some of the most important Kings of our time including Maharaja Ranjit Singh roamed these quarters made the entire experience surreal!””
The band is scheduled to perform at a couple of more concerts in Lahore including at the Packages Mall on Valentine’s Day before leaving for their hometown Toronto in third week of February . Qurram is also likely to make a short stay in Dubai to finalize the music of his upcoming solo project.
