In the recent development on the political front, the member of Sindh Provincial Assembly Sumeta Afzal Syed has decided to quit her years’ long association with Muttahida Quami Movement and has announced to join Mustafa Kamal-led political party, Pak Sarzameen Party.

Sumeta Afzal while making this big announcement said that she took that step for the betterment of her province.

“I have taken this bold step because I want to work for the betterment of my province and city. We all know how passionately Mustafa Kamal has worked for the welfare of the city and he has proved himself as a great leader in the past. It’s a real pleasure for me to be part of his team and I am sure that together we can definitely do something meaningful in the interest of our city,” Sumeta Afzal stated in an exclusive rendezvous with Celeb Dhaba.

Sumeta Afzal Syed has been a Member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh since June 2013. She was elected member provincial assembly on reserved seats for women and is currently part of Sindh Assembly standing committees on Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Energy, Women Development, Sports and Youth Affairs and Industries and Commerce.

She has done Bachelors in Social Sciences and Humanities in Psychology from America. In 2009, she returned to Pakistan and started a career in media and hosted ARY News morning show, Bakhabir Savera for some time. She later joined Karachi’s then popular political party Muttahaida Quomi Movement with a will to work for the welfare of her city. She has now quit MQM to join Pakistan Sarzameen Party.

Besides having a glorious political career, Sumeta Afzal has also been associated with beauty and health care field. She has recently opened a salon in the posh locality of Defence with a name of ‘The House of Glam’.
