Disney have just unveiled the first look of their Upcoming live action remake ‘Mulan’. Mulan will be starring America-Chinese actress, model and singer Liu Yifei in the titular role, in the first look of the film we can see Liu Yifei who will be portraying her role as the Disney princess Mulan. She can be seen posing with a sword dressed up in the red and white gown which looks like the Animated version of the Disney princess.

The plot of the movie will be revolving around the character of Mulan who will try to disguise herself as a man in order to stop his father from joining the Chinese Military and go fight the invading Huns. The film is set in China during the reign of Han dynasty. Mulan later joins the imperial army and goes to fight on the Han Dynasty saving China.
According to reports the casting director had interviewed 1000 candidates across 5 continents before moving on towards Liu Yifei. The film is being Directed by Niki Caro, and the film will be having a huge cast which include Donnie Yen, Jet Li, Jason Scott Lee, Yoson An, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Ron Yuan, Tzi Ma, Rosalind Chao, Cheng Pei-Pei, Nelson Lee, and Gong Li. The film will be shot in New Zealand and in China which will be showing us the time of Han dynasty.
The live action remake is based on the popular 1998 film Mulan which grossed over 300 million dollars at the box office and the film was also nominated for the Golden Globe awards and Academy awards. The film is being produced by Jason T. Reed, Chris Bender and Jake Weiner. The film will be releasing on March 27, 2020.
