Iranian-German model-turned-actress, Naaz Norouzi after making a splashing debut in Pakistani cinema with Maan Jao Na is now all set for her first international acting debut with Indian Punjabi film, Khido Khundi and Netflix original series, Sacred Games.

The actress recently spoke to IMAGES about her experience working in Indian cinema.

“Actually, the last day of Sacred Games was so chaotic and they had to manage it because I had to leave for Pakistan. “In fact, I came late for the promotions. I had to come [to Pakistan for the promotions] much earlier, but we had to finish Sacred Games and send it to Netflix,” the actress said.

Starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Saif Ali Khan in pivotal roles, Sacred Games is an adaptation of Vikram Chandra novel and has been directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap.

Talking about her role in Punjabi film the actress said her role in the film was the driving force for other characters.

“I’m not just romancing Ranjit Bawa; my role is of getting the protagonist back to playing hockey when he stops. The other woman in the film [Mandy Takhar], is a lawyer who helps fight a legal battle between Britain and India,” Norouzi revealed. “I feel the women in the film are very important and if you wouldn’t have had either of them, you would lose. It’s a family story at the end of the day as well.”

Khido Khundi is an upcoming Punjabi movie that depicts the reality of the Indian hockey players from Sansarpur, Punjab. The film is slated to release across globe on April 20.
