February is the month of love, as we all know 14th February is Valentines and every single person has something prepared for their beloved ones. Well not this time, because of the rising issue of Valentines the government has taken action about the event happening on 14th February 2018 which is Valentines.
An application has been submitted by the Islamabad High court, that the Chairman of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) takes this issue in his hands and make sure that no TV channel should Air any information about Valentines. There would be no Ads, No official events at public places and All the TV channels shall be directed not to promote anything about Valentines this year.
The Letter has been issued by Islamabad High court on 8th February 2018. The letter reads as:
“In the meanwhile respondents are directed to ensure that nothing about the celebrations of Valentines Day and its promotion is spread on the electronic and print media. No event shall be held at official level and at any public place. Chairman Pemra is directed to ensure that all the TV channels shall stop the Promotion of Valentines Day, forthwith.”
“the above mentioned orders of the Honorable Islamabad High Court, Islamabad are still in field. Therefore, all the broadcast media and Distribution Services Licensees are advised to desist from promoting Valentines Days through their respective channels/networks.
Well this time it’s the government who has taken action. Well it looks like its gonna be a sad news for all those people who had something planned up for their special ones, or ones who were trying to promote it with their business. Well a rule is a rule and this time for sure Valentines day celebrations will be stopped. So this is all we could find about 14th February. We hope people are happy with these decisions.
