Pakistan dominantly finished the first test match as winners on the fourth day against Bangladesh. The test series that’ll be concluded after PSL 2020 gives Pakistan a psychological boost against the team that was not ready to visit Pakistan earlier. Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium witnessed some impressive performances as the home side overwhelmed the visiting team with a massive win by an innings and 44 runs. That victory adds 60 points, taking Pakistan’s tally to 140 in the World Test Championship ranking.

Pakistan Beat Bangladesh in the First Test

The highlight of this test match was the 16 years old speedster, Naseem Shah, the home boy, who became the youngest bowler in the history of the game to accomplish a hat-trick in test Cricket. He finished with 4 wickets for 26 runs and declared man of the match. His brilliant spell destroyed the already struggling batting lineup to give Pakistan an edge in the series. He hasn’t been completely fit lately. With an MRI scan for muscle pull couldn’t stop him from performing to his best.

Pakistani batsmen also shined in the only innings they batted. Babar Azam scored a scintillating knock of 143 along with Shan Masood who manged to reach the magical three figure mark before being dislodged by Taijul Islam.

The Pindi wicket was on the slower side where batsmen could score runs if applied themselves amply but the Pakistani bowling line being a little hard really decayed Bangladeshi batting temperament. In the ICC Test Championship, Bangladesh has not won a match and stays at the bottom without a winner.
