Pakistan And Uzbekistan Join Hands To Expand Trade And Economic Ties
In order to further develop trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan together with the Uzbek Embassy in Islamabad organized a visit of business circles to Uzbekistan led by Deputy Chairman of the Uzbek-Pakistan Business Council Wasiq Ali Khan, UzDaily news agency reported on July 9.
The Pakistani delegation is headed by Mr. Wasiq Ali Khan who is the vice chairman of Pak Uzbek Business council and Chairman of Star Marketing, accompanied by his colleagues from Star Marketing, Mr. Ahmed Shah President Arts Council, Amjad Ali Director Jang Group Marketing and Zeeshan M Khan Chairman TNI Group
The reason this meeting took place is to purchase Uzbek household items and building materials. They are also planning to open up showrooms in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi to make these goods available to the public and bring new innovations to the economy of Pakistan.
Both the parties have also discussed about increasing the supply of Uzbek goods in Pakistan, which include agricultural machinery, certain chemicals, shoe products, electrical equipment and its looks like the talks will help Pakistan influence in many sectors.
The delegation also visited holy places and historical sites in Samarqand and Bukhara cities of Uzbekistan, where they discussed the joint development of historical and religious tourism. The Pakistani delegation had noted that the historical monuments and religious areas represent mutual interests for tourists.
The Pakistani delegation has also agreed that they will be establishing dealership and distribution offices for Uzbek companies all over Pakistan, and that Uzbekistan will also open up opportunities for Pakistan.
The parties also reached an agreement on organization of the second meeting of the Business Council which will be taking place in Tashkent on September 2018.
Well this surely is another Milestone for Pakistan.
