Rajkummar Rao has proved his acting prowess by delivering some of the best performances of his career in his recently released films including Bareilly Ki Barfi, Newton and Trapped. The actor is back again in another great project, Omerta.

The trailer of the film has been recently released where the actor has stolen the show with an amazing act as the Pakistani terrorist Omar Saeed Sheikh.

Reportedly, the film is based on the real-life story of British terrorist of Pakistani descent, Omar Saeed Sheikh. The story shows a journey of a common man who turn into a terrorist due to certain circumstances of his life. The film will also show several deadly terriorts attacks of the world including the 1994 Delhi kidnappings, the 9/11 World Trade Centre attack and the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.

A few minutes long trailer shows Rao transforming into a terrorist – getting psychical training, exploring unknown destinations and meeting people who can help in achieving his goal. In one of the scenes, he introduces himself as Rohit Verma to the police officials. Later in the trailer, when someone asks him, “Who are you?” and he replies, “I am the saviour.”

Talking about the film, Rao said at the trailer launch, “Omertà is among the most researched films that I have worked on till date. We visited some of the places frequented by Omar in London during his transformation from an LSE graduation student to becoming this deadly terrorist. I needed to feel and touch this man’s past – to ingest him. It was not an easy journey for me to take. With Omertà and Hansal Sir, we have a combination that will probably leave you stunned. There will be this moment of shock and silence as the end credits roll,”
