The trailer for Clint Eastwoods upcoming film Richard Jewell is out. Based on true events the story of this crime drama film who focuses on Richard Jewell who became the first hero in the eyes of the media after saving people from a bomb site. However it was not easy for Jewell as later he was speculated as the Lone Bomber by the state and media.
The trailer begins with Jewell sitting in a dark room across from two FBI agents investigating the bombings. Jon Hamm, one of the agents, instructs Jewell: “I want you to say into this phone, ‘There’s a bomb in Centennial Park. You have 30 minutes.”
The film is based on the complete story of the bombing and the trail against Richard Jewell. Was he really a bomber or the savior? The films official synopsis reads out “within days, the law enforcement wannabe becomes the FBI’s number one suspect, vilified by press and public alike, his life ripped apart. Reaching out to independent, anti-establishment attorney Watson Bryant, Jewell staunchly professes his innocence.”
The film also stars Kathy Bates, Olivia Wilde, Ian Gomez, Dylan Kussman, Wayne Duvall and Sam Rockwell who plays the attorney of Jewell and the film is based on the vanity fair article “American Nightmare: the ballad of Richard Jewell.”
