After receiving rave reviews for a mind blowing performance in Hindi Medium, the versatile actress Saba Qamar is lucky enough to bag a nomination at the most prestigious awards of Hindi cinema, Filmfare Awards.
On the other hand, despite of giving hits in India,
Mahira Khan and Sajal Ali couldn’t be successful in making to the nominations.
Saba Qamar has been nominated in the category of ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female)’ in the Filmfare Awards and she has to compete with Alia Bhatt (Badrinath Ki Dulhania), Sridevi (Mom), Bhumi Pednekar (Shubh Mangal Saavdhan), Vidya Balan (Tumhari Sulu) and Zaira Wasim (Secret Superstar).
Saba Qamar’s Bollywood debut film, Hindi Medium, has been nominated in 5 different categories, included, ‘Best Film’ and ‘Best Director’.
The actress has recently bagged Best Breakthrough at the Masala Awards for her smashing Bollywood debut opposite Irrfan Khan in Hindi Medium.
As far as the local showbiz industry of Pakistan is considered, Saba Qamar has been lucky here too. The nomination for 17th edition of Lux Style Awards have recently been out – and guess what the actress here too have been seen in a good position. She has been nominated in the category Best Actress on television for her phenomenal act in Urdu 1’s Baaghi.
In Baaghi, Saba Qamar essays a role of late model and controversial showbiz figure Qandeel Baloch.
