Sam Raimi is in talks to helm the upcoming  film Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse Of Madness. The studio has started discussions with the director after the departure of Director Scott Derrickson who had also helmed the first part of Doctor Strange.

Sam Raimi might make a comeback to the Superhero genre after he had directed Toby Mcguire’s Spiderman trilogy. However it has been reported that Derrickson will be attached to the project as Executive Producer.

The film might be showing us Doctor Strange going back to the multiverse, however Doctor Strange is not an avenger and may not be able to fight off bad guys like Thanos however he is capabale of doing many other things.

Kevin Feige recently spoke about the film saying “Multiverse of Madness is the greatest title we’ve ever come up with, by the way, which is one thing that’s exciting about it. I wouldn’t necessarily say that’s a horror film, but … it’ll be a big MCU film with scary sequences in it.”

Benedict Cumberbatch will be returning to reprise his role as Doctor Strange and it is also being said that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be the first horror film in the Marvel Cinematic universe and Doctor Strange will be fighting off the horror, his villains have also been inspired by the writings of Legendary American writer HP Lovecraft.
