Hollywood actor Samuel L Jackson has joined the cast for the Saw:Reboot which has been created by Chris Rock. According to reports Chris Rock plays a police detective who will be investigating a series of incidents and Samuel L Jackson will be playing the role of his father.
Lionsgate pictures had revealed that the film will also be starring Max Minghella who will be playing the role of William Schenk and Marisol Nichols will be playing Rocks boss, Captain Angie Garza. Chairman of Lionsgate Joe Drake said in an interview “We think Samuel L Jackson and Chris Rock along with Max Minghella and Marisol Nichols make this film completely special in the Saw canon and we can’t wait to unleash this unexpected and sinister new story on fans of this franchise. This is next level of Saw on full tilt.”
The new film’s script has been written by Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg and the film is based on a story which has been made by Chris Rock himself. Darren Lynn Bousman is returning as the director of the reboot after he helmed three Saw films previously.
Chris Rock will also be the executive producer in the project along with James Wan, who directed the 2004 original film, and Leigh Whannell, who penned and starred in the movie.
The cast for Saw: Reboot however it is still not confirmed when the film will be coming out.
