Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark sequel is in the works, yes the news is true as Norwegian director André Øvredal is returning to direct the film and Dan Hageman along with Kevin Hageman will be writing the script of the film.

The 2019 film was a really horror film based on Alvin’s book of Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark, and the film only contained several storylines from a total of 29 stories that means the filmmakers have a bunch of stories to reveal in the sequel.

The official synopsis of the 2019 read out “It’s 1968 in America. Change is blowing in the wind…but seemingly far removed from the unrest in the cities is the small town of Mill Valley where for generations, the shadow of the Bellows family has loomed large. It is in their mansion on the edge of town that Sarah, a young girl with horrible secrets, turned her tortured life into a series of scary stories, written in a book that has transcended time stories that have a way of becoming all too real for a group of teenagers who discover Sarah’s terrifying home.”

The details of the sequel are kept under the covers and paramount will be producing the sequel as well.
