The trailer of Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark is out. Co-produced and co-written by Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, the movie is based on famous story written by Alvin Schwartz. Norwegian director André Øvredal has directed the film, the director also directed the famous horror film ‘The Autospy Of Jana Doe’. The trailer is full of frights and will surely send shivers down to your spines a Horror movie which was expected to get a R rating has managed to get itself a PG-13 rating.
It is said that four to five stories from Alvin’s stories are combined to craft the ultimate horror film. Even if you did not read the book in your childhood, the film will be taking away your breaths, however the readers who have read the books will surely be more frightened as their nightmares would be coming alive once again.
The official synopsis of the film reads out “It’s 1968 in America. Change is blowing in the wind…but seemingly far removed from the unrest in the cities is the small town of Mill Valley where for generations, the shadow of the Bellows family has loomed large. It is in their mansion on the edge of town that Sarah, a young girl with horrible secrets, turned her tortured life into a series of scary stories, written in a book that has transcended time stories that have a way of becoming all too real for a group of teenagers who discover Sarah’s terrifying home.”
Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark will be hitting the theatres on 9 August 2019.
