Spongebob Squarepants creator Stephen Hillenburg passed away at of 57 on Monday. Stephen Hillenburg did something different he made a whole new world of Bikini Bottom with marine animals and yes people loved the cartoon. Nickelodeon Television made the news public on Tuesday.
Stepehen Hillenburg was suffering from a neurodegenerative disease ALS which is also known as the Lou Gehrig’s disease. Hillenburg revealed this news last year when he was diagnosed with it. Nickelodeon Television said in a statement “We are incredibly saddened by the news that Stephen Hillenburg has passed away following a battle with ALS.” They further added on “He was a beloved friend and long-time creative partner to everyone at Nickelodeon, and our hearts go out to his entire family.”

Spongebob Sqaurepants first episode aired in 1999 in USA and the rest became history. Spongebob Squarepants was a cartoon based on the life of a child sponge living in the Bikini Bottom who works at the Krusty Krab to earn a living, The Krusty Krab is run by Mr. Crabs, Spongebob Squarepants is accompanied by Squidward Tentacles a boring squid who is done with his life and always wants peace. Spongebob also has friends Patrick the star and Sandy the Squirrel ohh and lets not forget about their biggest enemy Plankton who wants to defeat Mr. Crabs and brainwash Spongebob.
Well Stephen Hillenburg surely created history and now he has left this world but he will always be remembered as Spongebob’s Father.
