Taika Waititi the filmmaker and actor who has helmed some great films like Jojo Rabbit, Thor: Ragnarok will now be directing a Star Wars film, the filmmaker has been roped in by the Star Wars team.
It was rumored that Taika Waititi would be directing a film after he directed the season finale of Star Wars Spinoff Mandalorian however people at Lucasfilms were on a hold as they wanted to announce Taika on their national holiday May The Fourth which is a holiday celebrated by the Star Wars family.
It has been reported that Waititi will be co-writing the script for the film alongside Krysty Wilson Cains who also wrote the script for the film 1917 alongside Sam Mendes. Both of them were screenplay nominees at the Academy Awards this year however Taika won the race.
Currently Taika Waiti is helming the fourth part in the Thor franchise which is titled Thor: Love and Thunder not only this but the makers have also confirmed that Natalie Portman is returning as the Female Thor who wields the Mjolnir and takes away Thor’s superpowers however when Thor finds out about this he makes some different plans and think on recruiting her as they both become really powerful.
Chris Hemsworth will be reprising his role of Thor and Tessa Thompson will also be making a return to the franchise as Valkyrie
