This weekend the highly anticipated Pakistani flick “Teefa in Trouble” will lock horns with Bollywood’s “Dhadak” at the box office.
The much awaited romcom “Teefa in Trouble” has been produced by the Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar himself. It also marks the debut of Maya Ali.
Javed Sheikh, Asma Abbas, Faisal Qureshi and Mahmood Aslam are also among the cast of the action-comedy.
The anticipation for the movie has taken everyone by storm.
The film marks the directorial debut of Ahsan Rahim, who is known for directing music videos and television commercials with several Pakistani artists under his Tadpole Films.
The film is mostly shot in Pakistan and Poland except for one song which is filmed in Bangkok.
The promotions of “Teefa in Trouble” took place in Lahore, UAE and UK where thousands of fans came to meet their beloved stars.
The upcoming Pakistani movie is not only for the local audience, international audience awaits the movie too.
The promotions and marketing have been unique for any Pakistani movie that has come out before. It is Pakistan’s most expensive movie to date and the movie is all set to release in over 25 countries worldwide in numerous languages.
Dhadak is said to be a very simple love story without any objectionable scenes or dialogues.
The film features Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khattar in the lead, opposite late Bollywood legend Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor.
It marks the Bollywood debut for both lead actors.
The film is directed by Shashank Khaitan, produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios. It is an official remake of the critically acclaimed Marathi film Sairat.
