The trailer for The High Note starring Dakota Johnson and Tracy Ellis Ross has come out. The film will be directed by Nisha Ganatra.

Tracee Ellis Ross will be playing a superstar singer in the film and Dakota Johnson will be playing her ignored personal assistant. The cast of the film also includes Kelvin Harrison Jr Ice Cube, Zoe Chao, Eddie Izzard, Bill Pullman, and Diplo.

The films synopsis reads out “Set in the dazzling world of the LA music scene comes the story of Grace Davis (Ross), a superstar whose talent, and ego, have reached unbelievable heights. Maggie (Johnson) is Grace’s overworked personal assistant who’s stuck running errands, but still aspires to her childhood dream of becoming a music producer. When Grace’s manager (Ice Cube) presents her with a choice that could alter the course of her career, Maggie and Grace come up with a plan that could change their lives forever.”

The indie films trailer looks really fun and enjoyable and will surely be a film where we can see how two people work together and create one of the super-hit album of the year.

The High Note starring Tracy Ellis Ross and Dakota Johnson will be hitting the big screens on 8th May 2020
