Josh Cooley the Oscar-nominated writer who wrote the story for the film Toy Story 4 has been roped in to direct a Transformers animated series, the news had been confirmed by Hollywood reporter. Entertainment One’s Hasbro will be producing the film along with Paramount Animations.
According to recent reports it has been revealed that the film script has been penned by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari who have also penned the script Ant-Man. The animated film will be a prequel to the to the live-action films and will explore how the Autobots and decepticons originated and how the real war started between intergalactic robots who turn into supercars.
Previously Michael Bay had helmed the five parts of the Transformers and after that Travis Knight had helmed the film Bumblebee in which we see how bumblebee makes it to earth and finds a comanion who keeps him safe from decepticons.
The previous film Bumblebee official synopsis read out “On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.”
The film starred Hailee Steinfield and John Cena in pivotal roles.
