James Bond could either be played by a woman or an actor of any color after current Bond Daniel Craig steps away from the role, the makers recently revealed. The makers of James Bond movies are open to having an actor of any colour or a woman play the famous fictional spy. Producer Barbara Broccoli says she wouldn’t hesitate breaking from the tradition that has been seen in Bond, being played by white, middle aged men. She is open to having a black or woman as the next iconic spy once actor Daniel Craig walks away, as reported.
“These films tend to reflect the times, so we always try to push the envelope a little bit. Anything is possible. Right now it’s Daniel Craig, and I’m very happy with Daniel Craig, but who knows what the future will bring,”
Broccoli said. Craig is almost at the end of his 007 career.
Ever since the 49 year old British actor said he ruled out returning to the franchise following the last Bond film Spectre, before he agreed to reprise the role once again in Bond 25, speculation over his successor has been universal.
It was also rumored that Actor Idris Elba would be wearing the famous bond shoes but things changes when he said that he is no longer interested in the role of James bond. Last month, Daniel Craig had confirmed that he will return to reprise the role of James Bond for the last time, Daniel Craig had confirmed this news on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that he will return as James Bond in the 25th Bond movie. Craig also said that it would be the last time he would step in to play the fictitious British spy, created by Ian Fleming, saying, “I just want to go out on a high note, and I can’t wait.” Well what will happen
next after 25th bond comes out only god knows but will the legacy break or kept alive it’s going to be a difficult choice for the producer.
