Urwa Hocane loses ‘Kaaf Kangana’ due to unprofessional behavior!
Lack of basic courtesies, mammothly inflated egos, tantrums galore and an off-putting attitude attained overnight with stardom are just some of the afflictions of stars who are riding high and at times, even low in Lollywood. This rank bad behavior has to be accepted by filmmakers and directors on the sets.
Urwa Hocane is in the news for all the wrong reasons.
Pakistani playwright, TV and film director Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has lashed out at actor Urwa Hocane, accusing her of extremely unprofessional behavior.
Qamar said working with Urwa Hocane was “the most dreadful experience of his life”.
Hocane who plays instantly affable characters on screen has now been labeled for being difficult to work with.
In a recent interview, Qamar spoke at length about his upcoming film Kaaf Kangana, starring Ayesha Omar, Sami Khan and debutant Eshal Fayyaz.
Khalil opened up why he shuffled the cast and replaced Sohai with Urwa.
“I casted Sohai for the film and replaced her with Urwa having this doubt whether Sohai would pull of the character with complete conviction or not”
“I never imagined in my wildest dreams that I would face such ruthless and unprofessional behavior from Urwa. Qamar further added: Urwa begged for the film, and got it only due to her husband Farhan AKhtar who is a dear friend. I can cope on a lot of things but not dishonesty. I want to work with actors who are dedicated.”
“Qamar further said that replacing Urwa from ‘Kaaf Kangana’ was a very difficult decision. I took sleeping pills as Farhan’s face kept appearing before me, but there wasn’t a choice left but to take this hard decision.”I am so scared of her hardhearted behavior that I wonder I would be able to work with her in future or not.
Qamar has several blockbusters to his portfolio which includes Punjab Nai Jaungi, Sadqay Tumhare and Pyaare Afzal.
