Hollywood actor Andy Serkis who is directing the sequel of Venom says that he and team have really dug in during the filming of the film. Tom Hardy will be returning to the franchise as the protagonist, along with Michelle Williams. Andy Serkis will be directing the film and has taken over the duties from Ruben Fliechser for the sequel of the 2018 film.
Speaking in an interview Andy Serkis said “I really can’t say too much about it but we’re 40 days into shoot and it’s really thrilling. We’ve got the magnificent Tom Hardy at the centre of it and we see a deepening of the relationship between him and Venom.”
He also revealed the film will be having a nemesis saying “Obviously there’s a nemesis character … and that’s all I can say.”
The sequel will also be featuring Michelle Williams and Woody Harrelson as well as Naomi Harris and Stephen Graham.
Sony’s Venom starred Tom Hardy in the title role and Venom was a global hit which is also starred Riz Ahmed in and Michale Williams the film had grossed over 850 million all around the world. The film had received many negative reviews, it only scored a 29% rating on rotten tomatoes and the critics had said “Venom’s first standalone movie turns out to be like the comics character in all the wrong ways – chaotic, noisy, and in desperate need of a stronger attachment to Spider-Man.”
