The third installment of popular comedy film franchise Welcome is all set to go on floor soon with Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor and John Abraham in lead roles.
Reportedly, the third installment of the film set to go on floor early next year.
According to media reports, unlike the first two installment of popular comedy film franchise, the latest one will have action as a core ingredient of the film. Some newspapers have also reported that Oscar winning Oscar-winning German composer Hans Zimmer has been approached to compose the background score for the third sequel of the film.
As far as film casting is concerned, some media reports have suggested that Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Paresh Rawal will reprise their roles from the original.
Talking about the project, a source stated to the tabloid, “Anil will continue to play Majnu, Nana returns as Uday Shetty while Paresh plays Dr. Ghunghroo. While the first two installments were more about comedy, this one will have action in equal measure. Locations are currently being finalised with shooting schedules also being planned in Tokyo and Osaka.”
Although John Abraham has replaced Akshay Kumar in Welcome 2, but now the filmmakers are keen to cast both actors in the third sequel.
The makers have been approaching Akshay Kumar for quite some time for the role but things always got stuck when it comes to his fees and now finally everything has been sorted out.
Sources have confirmed that both actors have given their approval for the role in the film.
Although the first two installment of the franchise has been directed by the veteran maverick Anees Bazmee but the third installment will have a new man on the director’s seat.
The first installment of the Welcome franchise was released in 2007, starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, the second one released in 2015 with John Abraham and Shruti Haasan as the lead.
