WhatsApp Dismiss as Admin Feature
Facebook-owned popular messaging app WhatsApp has started rolling out a new feature that allows an admin to ‘dismiss’ co-admin in a group chat. The ‘Dismiss as Admin’ feature lets one administrator remove other administrators from the post, without first deleting them from the group and then adding again as normal group members.
How to remove Whatsapp Group Admin ?
The feature will allow users to remove the group chat admin and they will be able to demote the administrator of the group chat to standard group chat participant.
Users can also promote themselves as a group chat admin.
The powers of group admin include adding or removing participants from the group chat of WhatsApp.
WhatsApp’s ‘Dismiss as Admin’ feature is presently available in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android and is in the process of development on iOS. However, the global rollout of this new feature remains presently uncertain. According to WABetaInfo, a fan site that tests new WhatsApp features early, the new option allows an administrator to dismiss another one without removing him or her from the group.
Besides, WhatsApp may give group administrators more powers where they would be able to restrict all other members from sending text messages, photographs, videos, GIFs, documents or voice messages.
\The app has submitted the “Restricted Groups” setting via Google Play Beta Programme in the version 2.17.430. Once restricted, other members will simply have to read their messages and will not be able to respond or post anything in the group.
WhatsApp is used by more than 1.2 billion people around the world. The messaging app is a key tool for communications and commerce in many countries.
