Wonder Woman 1984, which was supposed to hit the big screens on November 1, 2019, however will now be out in theaters on June 5, 2020. The announcement came as a shock for Wonder Woman fans who have been waiting for the sequel since 2017.

Gal Gadot took to her Instagram account where she posted “Super excited to announce that, thanks to the changing landscape, we are able to put Wonder Woman back to its rightful home. June 5, 2020. Be there or be square!!! ✨🙅‍♀✨”

Wonder Woman’s next big screen adventure shows us Wonder Woman facing an all new enemy “The Cheetah. Last summer’s record-breaking Wonder Woman, which took in $822 million at the worldwide box office, the sequel will be following up with the prequel. Wonder Woman 1984 will also be directed by Patty Jenkins.

As previously announced, the film also stars Kristen Wiig in the role of the Super-Villain The Cheetah, who will be playing the role of Wonder Woman’s arch rival and the filmmakers also posted on their official twitter handle reveling Kristen Wiig in a museum however the picture shows us the character as a civilian maybe she turns into a super villain later on in the film, we will only find out when the film comes out.

The film is being produced by Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Patty Jenkins, Stephen Jones and Gal Gadot, Rebecca Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and Walter Hamada are the executive producers.
