Yasir Akhtar has released his first ever naat ‘Assalamu Alaika Ya Nabi’, here today, both in tits audio and video versions. The phrase Assalamu Alaika Ya Nabi is salutation and prayers that Muslims across the globe send to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
The universally popular composition is a fusion of Arabian instrumentation with western orchestra, layered by the versatile Sohail Keys of Signature Studios. “Being an internationally known figure, I have a responsibility to take forward the message of peace and harmony of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to the farthest reach of the globe, especially in today’s age when Islam is misunderstood in some parts of the world,” says Yasir Akhtar.
The inspirational video, shot in the cosmopolitan city of Karachi, focuses on colourful events, with the objective of displaying the true essence of the holy month of Ramazan that lies in piety, and in helping the needy and innocent children.
“I’ve always been a big fan of Yasir Akhtar and have been watching his productions since Music Channel Charts era. I had the opportunity to work with him on the video on the post-production side of ‘Assalamo Alaika Ya Nabi’. The strength of the video is that it highlights the message of charity, sharing, empathy and love which is the true essence of Islam,” says Shezan Saleem of JO-G Studios.
After the global success of his last two singles ‘Sansani’ & ‘Take it Easy’, the Pakistani-British Yasir Akhtar is back in Karachi displaying his versatility as a singer through the naat ‘Assalamu Alaika Ya Nabi’ rendered in his soulful voice, simultaneously over various platforms. Speaking on the occasion Akhtar said, “I am extremely excited to recite this naat. Recording it was a very special moment for me as I have never done something on these lines earlier. I am hoping that my viewers will cherish it as much as I do.”
