Zac Efron will be seen in the upcoming film Jungle King the film will be directed by duo Glen Ficarra and John Requa. The filmmakers will be directing the screenplay by Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner writer Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski.
The film will be based on the true story of ogue tech magnate John McAfee, creator of the McAfee Antivirus software, who cashed-in his fortune and left civilization after moving to the Belize jungle, he set up a Colonel Kurtz-like compound of guns, sex and madness.
Zac Efron will be playing the role of the Investigator Ari Furman who goes to the belize jungle but finds himself in a trap getting paranoid by McAfee. Earlier it was said Seth Rogen and Michael Keaton would be playing the role of John McAfee and Ari Furman however the two did not star in the film.
The film will be produced by Charlie Gogolak alongside Conde Nast Entertainment and the film will be a full flesh comedy film. Glen Ficarra and John Requa will also be producing the project under their banner of Zaftig films.
Jungle King will be going on the floors next year and is expected for a 2021 release.
